Beyond the Notes with Trio Oko: Exploring the Sound of the Harp Quartet
Prepare for an evening of rare chamber music gems as local harp trio, Trio Oko appears in the Beyond the Notes concert series. Joined by founder and violinist Sarah Whitney, the ensemble presents a colorful program spanning both geography and time, from the refined sound world of Saint-Saëns and Ravel to original compositions and the ethereal soundtracks of Studio Ghibli. In keeping with the mission of Beyond the Notes, audiences are invited to engage directly with the artists by submitting questions, which will be answered live during the performance. The Concord Orchestra presents "Vignettes"
The Concord Orchestra presents “Vignettes.” The orchestra, conducted by Music Director Zeke Fetrow, performs a program of Gustav Holst’s A Somerset Rhapsody, Dmitri Shostakovich’s Suite for Variety Orchestra, Georg Philipp Telemann’s Trumpet Concerto in D Major, and Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. A pre-concert talk is scheduled for 7:15 pm on Saturday. Tickets for adults and seniors are $25. Admission for youth under 18 is free.
