Driven by curiosity and a background in Wildlife Biology, Cynthia Fisher has created varied and philosophical works that seek to elevate mosaics beyond the world of craft and into fine art. Through inspiring cultural conversations, Fisher aims to engage the viewer in questioning our impact on the natural world. Utilizing a wide range of materials, including vitreous glass and broken pottery, the tactile and textured nature of the medium forces us to share the space. Prompting questions about how we currently engage with the world around us and how it may engage with us.
