Saltbox-Option-1.jpg

Saltbox Kitchen

Rooted in Concord After ten years in business, Saltbox Kitchen remains deeply rooted in the community it calls home. The welcoming West Concord café serves seasonal, globally inspired fare made with ingredients from Saltbox Farm, chef Ben Elliott’s ten-acre family farm just a few miles away. Stop in for a freshly baked pastry and coffee, linger over lunch, or sample a beer from Saltbox Brewery—Concord’s only craft brewery.

But Saltbox offers more than good food. Through creative partnerships with neighboring West Concord businesses, it continues to strengthen the lively, close-knit character of the community. Every meal supports Elliott’s determined effort to preserve Saltbox Farm as a working agricultural landscape, using organic and regenerative practices. At Saltbox, visiting a local restaurant becomes a delicious way to support an entire community and help keep Concord farming.

Dunkin’

Still Brewing Community, One Store at a Time Since Discover Concord last featured Megan and Mark Pesce, the Pesce Network has grown into a Concord-based organization operating more than 60 Dunkin’ and Jimmy John’s locations across Massachusetts, while staying true to its community-first values. A milestone this year was the opening of a new Dunkin’ and Jimmy John’s dual-brand concept. The combo concept brings Dunkin’s breakfast and coffee offerings together with Jimmy John’s fresh sandwiches, giving guests convenient all-day dining under one roof. Even with locations across the state, Concord remains the heart of the business, and Megan continues to incorporate local history, art, and design into the company’s stores, from the custom artwork at Thoreau Street to the Concord-inspired photography in the new Elm Street flagship. The Pesces also continue their longstanding support of local schools, youth sports, and community events, keeping their roots firmly planted in Concord.
